Ulift NPC is the non-profit heart of the Bighearts Village — majority controlled by African women, turning development funding into delivered development for women and youth.
Ulift NPC exists so that funding for development becomes development. We are majority controlled by African women, purposed to beneficiate mostly African women in underdeveloped areas — and we deliver. Ulift owns established, working companies in training, people operations, and technology, and stands inside a network that has placed thousands of young people and developed hundreds of small businesses. Our board holds the standard: responsible, transparent, community-owned development. Our companies and partners do the work — and one shared system tracks every rand and every outcome.
What we do: We accept development funding and distribute it responsibly through our companies and network — into accredited training, year-long youth placements, SMME development and funding, and community initiatives. Past projects range from women's health sponsorships that kept rural schoolgirls in class, to placing YES youth in clinics — the shape changes; the purpose doesn't.
How we work: Funders entrust us with money; we turn it into delivery through the companies we own and the partners we trust, under formal community agreements and documented selection — and we report what happened, wins and misses. Results like the Berg Hub — 166 young women in rural KZN — are how we prefer to be judged.
